There isn’t a boy or girl in America that does not need to see the Rocky Hock Playhouse 2008 summer musical UNDER HIS WINGS (THE LOVE STORY OF RUTH AND BOAZ).

Consider all the social changes that have happened in our society in the past 35 years.  The (very near) future of America is in the hands of our young people.  Thom Rainer in his book, Closing the Back Door, states that in America, 82 percent of the people who become Christians do so before the age of 20.  In his expanded study he found that 75 percent of Americans who become Christians do so between the ages of 9 and 14.  If we do not reach the young, we will not be seeing many people come to the Lord in our country.  How tragic.

We at the Rocky Hock Playhouse have a mission and a goal.  We want to inspire believers with our music and our drama AND we want to help unbelievers “see” the Gospel of Christ in our musicals.  Some think of our productions as great “sermons in song and drama.”  One thing is for certain…the youth of America MUST be reached before it is too late.  Under His Wings is the story of Ruth, Boaz, Naomi, and a redeemer kinsman.  Because of Ruth’s amazing faith in the God of Israel she trusted the Lord even in dire circumstances.  Boaz was getting older and had never married.  God, in His sovereignty brought these two wonderful people together in a most miraculous way.  Their love was pure and their story is one of hope, commitment, faith, and complete trust.  Theirs is said to be the greatest love story in the Bible. Given the state of the American family today—I am sure you will agree that our children need to be introduced to this Biblical pattern NOW before it is too late.

 

As a bonus, the musical is full of wonderful music, traditional Jewish folk dance, comedy, and colorful costumes and sets. 

 

Consider sponsoring a youth group, Christian school group, home school group, or Sunday school class from your church or community.

We have greatly discounted the tickets to make it possible for you to fully (or with a friend) sponsor a group of young people (boys or girls) so that they can come to the Rocky Hock Playhouse this summer to see a performance of Under His Wings. The show is appropriate for ALL age groups.

Tickets are just $9 each for young people (ages 5 through 19) and the accompanying adult chaperones.  This is a 50% savings off of full price tickets!!!  (One free ticket given to the sponsor of groups of 8 or more.)  There are no restrictions regarding dates and times.  PLUS, each person who sponsors a group of 8 or more may come to any one performance of our remaining 2008 shows FOR FREE...including Under His Wings.

HOW IT WORKS

Our sponsorship program is very simple.  Just follow these simple guidelines:

1.  Organize your group and pick a date and time.  A qualifying group includes 8 or more children
     ages 5 – 19.  (Up to two responsible adult chaperones may be included in the discounted price
     of just $9 each for every eight children.)  Additional adults will pay just $15 each. 

2.  Call our box office for reservations at (252) 482-4621.  (Our ticket outlets are not able to
      process this special offer.)

3.  A deposit is required to hold your reservation.  If your total order is less than $100 you will be
     asked to put down a $50 deposit to hold the reservation.  If your total is over $100 you will be
     asked to put down $100 to hold your reservation.  You may use a credit card for the deposit. 
     Or, you may mail a check within 7 days of the reservation date.  Your final count and final
     payment are due 30 days before the performance date. 

4.  Deposits are fully refundable if cancellations are received in writing 30 days prior to the
     performance date.

5.  By sponsoring a group you will receive ONE FREE TICKET for yourself which may be  
     used for Under His Wings or ANY of our remaining 2008 musicals.  (Your reservation must  
     be made in advance as well of course.)

6.  The show runs July 15 through August 16, 2008.  Performances are on Tuesdays, Thursdays,
     and Saturdays at 10:30am and 2:00pm.  There is an additional Saturday performance each
     week at 5:15pm.  All tickets for the Saturday 5:15 performances are $1 less in  
     conjunction with the sponsorship program!!
