Who were Mary and Joseph? Who were their parents, friends, and relatives? How did they fall in love? What was it like when Gabriel appeared to both Mary and Joseph? How many questions did they have? The answers, the songs, the stories, the romance, and the miracles, all go on and on. The greatest gift of love and peace the world has ever known was Jesus. The star of stars was born when heaven came down! Lots of folks say, "It just isn't Christmas till we've been to the Rocky Hock Playhouse."

This new Easter musical by Gloria Emmerich revisits the life, death, and resurrection of Christ as you’ve never seen it before.  The depth of Christ’s compassion was demonstrated by His willingness to live among the people.  His love for us is unending, personal, and eternal.  That lonely cross “on a hill far away” will seem somehow closer than ever before as you witness this stunning portrayal of Christ’s last days on earth.  Gloria Emmerich’s musicals are a perfect blend of humor and realism.  And, we guarantee you’ll come out of your chair when Christ ascends in the final scene!

Few men have impacted the world like the apostle Paul.  His remarkable life literally changed the world – and that legacy continues today.  He was known by friend and foe alike as “Paul the zealot.”  He was a Pharisee, rabbi, philosopher, Hebrew, AND a Roman citizen.  But, in spite of his talent, heritage, and education, Paul ultimately declared that the relationship he had with the Lord was his greatest triumph.   This remarkable musical, about a remarkable man, will inspire you like no other.  If God can use someone like “Saul…persecutor of the church”…then He can, and will, use any of us!

September 22October 15, 2011

In all of history there has never been anything quite like that holy night when our Lord was born in a cold and lonely stable in Bethlehem.  All of Heaven rejoiced when Jesus, born of the Virgin Mary, arrived on that winter’s night over 2000 years ago.  This new musical by Gloria Emmerich will make you feel as if you were actually there on that holy night when the brightest star ever shown in the sky over Bethlehem.  Mary, Joseph, and their friends and family will feel like personal friends when you leave.  For years folks have said it just doesn’t feel like Christmas until they’ve been to Rocky Hock!
