Gloria
Emmerich was born in
Newport, Oregon and is our resident musical director, playwright, lyricist,
and composer. She has written over 50 full length musicals—many of which
are being performed around the world today. Gloria appears in all Rocky
Hock Playhouse productions. She earned a Bachelor of Music Degree
and Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from San Diego State
University. Gloria and her husband Jeffrey have traveled and ministered on
four continents as well as in Alaska, Hawaii, Fiji, throughout the
Caribbean, and in Tasmania. Their work with the organization Ministry to
the Military has taken them to over 20 US military bases in Europe where
they performed hundreds of concerts, musicals, and drama workshops for
adults and children.
Jeffrey
Emmerich was born in Bend, Oregon and co-owns the
Rocky Hock Playhouse with his wife Gloria. He was previously
head of the drama department at North Central University in
Minneapolis, MN. Jeffrey appears in all Playhouse productions
and is our stage director and set designer/builder/painter. He
earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance
and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theatre from
San Diego State University. Jeffrey conducts the children’s
music and drama workshops at the Rocky Hock Playhouse and has
authored eight volumes of director’s notes (how-to books on
directing Gloria’s musicals) which are published through EPI in
Minneapolis, MN. Jeffrey was ordained into the ministry in 1978
and is a tribal member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. He
and Gloria are the proud parents of their adult children Ben and
Holly (the other half of the Emmerich Family Singers). Ben and
his wife Angie are the parents of Jeffrey and Gloria’s
grandchildren: Alex and Olivia.
Nathan Schierer
is originally from Fillmore, NY. He’s a graduate of
Houghton College where he earned a Bachelor of Music Degree.
This is Nathan’s second year with the Rocky Hock Playhouse and
he is a full time member of our drama troupe. Nathan has a
magnificent voice and is often featured in our productions. You
may also recall speaking to him on the phone recently. That is
because Nathan’s “other job” with the company is that of box
office and office manager. He is a skilled, master organizer
and the production company is blessed to have him on the team!

David “Gus” Light is our technical director and
was born in Bakersfield, CA. He attended Ozark Christian
College in Joplin, MO. Gus plays the piano, fixes everyone’s
computers, and likes to watch sports. He has 15 years of
experience running lights and sound for various Christian
organizations and came to us because he has long felt that
technical theatre is a “ministry call” on his life. Gus was a
youth associate at a church in Kentucky and on staff with a
church in California as a youth pastor.

Holly Emmerich
is our house
manager and was born in San Diego, CA. She is a theatre
veteran and has appeared in over 25 professional productions.
Holly is a senior at ECSU in Elizabeth city, NC and will
graduate in December with a teaching credential and a Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. While attending Haskell
University Holly was the president of the renowned Native
American Thunderbird Theatre in Lawrence, KS. Holly is currently
student teaching at a local Washington elementary school and
also works as the supervisor in a local group home.

Mariah Perry is
from Greene, Maine and is an accomplished dancer, actor, and
singer. She is a legitimate "triple threat" and we're honored
to have her on staff as our resident choreographer and “Group
Sales” coordinator. Mariah earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Dance from Dean College. Mariah brings a wealth of experience
to her position with the company and her choreography for our
summer musical (David) was hailed as “brilliant” by the
audiences. Her lively spirit and bubbly personality bring a
smile to everyone she meets.
